Share Savings

Regular Share Savings -123

The regular share savings account is the primary account at Riegel Federal Credit Union. This account is opened when an eligible person joins the credit union. A minimum deposit of $100.00 is required to maintain the membership. This deposit is your share in the credit union. There is a one time only new member fee of $1.00 per person on the account.

Secondary Share Savings Account

Members can open up to nine secondary share savings accounts in addition to the regular share savings. The secondary (suffix) account does not require a minimum balance. These accounts are linked to the regular share savings account. This provides members with a separate place to save that can easily be transferred to another suffix within the account.

Building Blocks - Youth Savings Accounts

Smart money habits start at a young age, which is why we're introducing our new Building Blocks Youth Savings Accounts! With the Riegel Youth Account kids will learn the importance of saving at a young age, giving them a solid foundation for their financial future. Eligibility for this account requires children to be under the age of 16, and within Riegel’s field of membership. A minimum deposit of $25 is required to open a Building Blocks Youth Savings Account.

Club Accounts

Our holiday club account runs from October 1st until September 30th. Our vacation club account runs from July 1st until June 30th. During the term you choose how much to deposit and how often you make these deposits. At the end of the term, the balance in the account will be transferred into your regular share (savings) account.

Tiered Dividend Rates

Riegel Federal Credit Union is committed to growing your savings. One example of this commitment is our tiered dividend rates. These rates apply to your regular share savings as well as your secondary share savings accounts.
